dealReporter, a financial news service that is part of the Financial Times Group, is looking to hire a full-time energy reporter. This person will be responsible for working with a global team of reporters to cover mergers and acquisitions, significant business events and capital markets in the energy sector.

The right candidate will be hungry to produce exclusive stories in this hyper competitive, tight lipped area of financial news. This candidate will have strong writing and interpersonal skills and at least three to five years reporting experience at a financial news service covering oil and gas/utilities industries, newspaper or online publication. Knowledge of corporate finance as well as a full rolodex of sources is strongly preferred.

Located in the Flatiron District of Manhattan, dealReporter has an entrepreneurial, nonpretentious office that offers flexibility and room for growth.

To apply, please send a cover letter, resume and four writing samples to Bhavna Kaul, Associate Editor, bhavna.kaul@dealreporter.com
