The Role
Bloomberg News is seeking an experienced markets reporter for its government bond and currency team. The reporter, located in Toronto, will be responsible for spot and feature stories about Canada's government bond, currency and money markets, interviews with prominent money managers and investment strategists, and regulation as it pertains to the fixed-income and foreign-exchange markets. The ideal candidate will have experience writing about markets, including at least two years in business journalism, and be able to produce clear, concise and accurate copy under deadline pressure. The reporter should be comfortable working within a team environment.
Qualifications:
-Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
-Knowledge of the economy, financial markets, and business
-Minimum of two years of experience in business journalism
