Post, the award-winning, paid-for, news and information service for the general insurance sector is seeking an ambitious reporter to join its team. Established in 1840, the brand has a great reputation for nurturing and developing well rounded and respected journalists, with four former senior reporters moving onto the nationals in recent years.
Responsibilities will include sourcing and writing exclusive news content for our daily online offering, whether company or issues based, as well as producing market and financial analysis for the weekly print and tablet products. We will be looking to our new reporter to tap into the latest market intelligence to find out first who is buying who, who is moving where, who is stealing a march on their competitors and who is falling short of the financial mark. Covering the full breadth of the GI sector, the onus will immediately be on speaking to and making contacts with everyone from CEOs, to MPs and senior regulatory officials.
The ideal candidate will have local newspaper or trade magazine experience, with news writing as the focus. They will be a highly motivated, enthusiastic self-starter who thrives in a busy and fast-paced environment. NCTJ qualification or equivalent would be an advantage but not essential.
