The Citizens’ Voice, a 30,000 daily newspaper in Wilkes-Barre, PA, seeks a Managing Editor to oversee the daily operation in this highly competitive newspaper market.
We’re looking for an experienced journalist with exceptional writing, editing and managing skills who can meet the daily challenges of our expanding digital edition while maintaining focus on high-quality print work.
The new editor must have strong communication and team-building skills and have the ability to work within a network of regional newspapers, planning content, developing staff and products and producing urgent and relevant community journalism. We’re looking for an editor with a proven record as a manager and leader, well versed in news and financial budgets, contract negotiations and performance appraisals.
