The Las Vegas Sun is looking for an ace gaming reporter to cover Las Vegas’ premier beat.

Our ideal candidate will be as strong a writer as he or she is a reporter, someone who can take readers inside the corporate boardroom where gaming and development decisions are made. We are looking for someone who can penetrate the industry, break down corporate speak and spin and give readers an honest and understandable big-picture view of gaming. The reporter would be as comfortable interviewing Sheldon Adelson as he or she is interviewing a tourist
on the street.

A typical week might include an enterprise story on gaming industry trends, dailies on casino earnings, quick hits on breaking news, a feature on a casino employee; and a Q&A with a gaming regulator.

Say what you will about Macau; this person will be covering the intellectual center of the brick-and-mortar and online gaming universe. And to our boutique newsroom he or she will bring good cheer, a stylized and authoritative writing voice and boundless curiosity.

The reporter will report to the business editor and write primarily for two Greenspun Media Group publications: The Las Vegas Sun and VEGAS INC, our weekly business-to-business publication.

Candidates should have at least five years of journalism experience. Please submit your resume with writing samples to with “Reporter” in the subject line to be considered. PLEASE MENTION GORKANA WHEN APPLYING!

Greenspun Media Group is an equal opportunity employer.
