Location: Chicago, Ill.
Ad Age, the leading source of news, information and analysis for the marketing and media industry, is seeking a smart, aggressive marketing reporter. This person will cover general marketing stories but also be counted on to develop a beat around a specific marketing category. The ideal candidate lives to break news, is accurate and fast, but equally capable of turning out insightful analysis and sniffing out trends. Our readers count on Ad Age to sift through the noise and cover the news that is meaningful to them and helps them do their jobs better. We need someone who can do just that.
The ideal candidate has:
• At least two to three years of reporting and writing experience;
• Solid news judgment;
• An understanding of business journalism;
• Experience covering a beat;
• Ability to develop sources;
• Track record of breaking news and thoughtful analysis.
