Job Description:

  • Plan, write copy, and edit content for subscriber pages

  • Maintain web pages and emails to ensure communication to subscribers is up to date, relevant and accurate

  • Develop an interesting and appealing tone of voice in line with The Wall Street Journal brand and plan the style of copy required in communications to subscribers

  • Be the brand guardian of subscriber communications and ensure the tone of voice is consistent throughout all communications

  • Liaise with external or internal departments to source and approve web content

  • Develop editorial policies, copyright, data protection and best practices of updating and maintaining the subscriber pages

  • Liaise with website managers to maintain site functions and plan site development

  • Report on key website traffic and engagement metrics

  • Develop organic social media strategy and content, help manage engagement on social media accounts, and collaborate on paid social strategy


SKILLS:

  • 2+ years of site editing, marketing / PR, communications, or journalism experience

  • Have excellent written and oral communication skills

  • Be creative and innovative in creating tone of voice

  • Superior time management skills, attention to detail and the ability to work effectively in a fast paced environment, meeting multiple tight deadlines

  • Be computer literate and possess good keyboard skills

  • Creative, innovative person who enjoys working in a collaborative, results-oriented environment

  • Self-starter that can work on their own

  • Be thorough and precise in their work with good attention to detail

  • Good understanding of audience and people management experience

  • Passion for the profession


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience in copywriting and website maintenance

  • Interest in different methods of communication and understanding audience

  • Strong copywriting skills

  • Strong presentation skills
